Volleyball Game Preview: Marshfield Pirates vs. Junction City Tigers + How To Watch

The Marshfield Pirates are taking a road trip to square off against the Junction City Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Marshfield is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Marist just ended the team's five-match winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 3-2.

Meanwhile, Junction City came up short against Marist on Thursday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Spartans: they've now lost seven in a row.

Junction City's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Marshfield, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-6.

Everything went Marshfield's way against Junction City when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as Marshfield made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
