Volleyball Recap: David City Takes a Loss

The David City Scouts came up short against the Concordia Mustangs on Saturday, falling 3-0. The Scouts have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

David City was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-16, 25-22.

Kambri Andel paced David City's offense, picking up ten kills. Andel got some help from Bella Heins and her 15 assists. Finally, Alayna Johnson and Addison Rands kept the team grounded on defense, each having blocked two attacks.

Concordia's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alyse Moulton, who had 15 assists and nine digs. Moulton is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 15 or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Natalie Perkinson, who had 13 assists and five digs.

David City's loss dropped their record down to 22-10. As for Concordia, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 29-8.

David City does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Concordia, they will take on Ashland-Greenwood at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
