Baseball Recap: Sumrall Bobcats vs. Greene County Wildcats

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Sumrall had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They blew past the Greene County Wildcats 8-2. Sumrall might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won 18 games by six runs or more this season.

Landon Hawkins was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Cade Clinton, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Sumrall has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 28-4 record this season. As for Greene County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-13.
