Basketball Recap: Austin Comes Up Short

Austin lost against Waltrip back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Austin Mustangs took a 76-57 bruising from the Waltrip Rams.

Austin dropped their record down to 11-14 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Waltrip, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 13-9 record this season.

Austin will take on Sharpstown at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Austin is facing Sharpstown at the right time seeing as Sharpstown is stuck on a 13-game losing streak. As for Waltrip, they will welcome Galena Park at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Waltrip will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
