Softball Recap: Frankton Eagles vs. Lapel Bulldogs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Frankton can now relate to. They came up short against the Lapel Bulldogs on Monday, falling 6-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-3 back in April.

Frankton got a good showing from Grace Kessinger, who didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Kessinger has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Frankton and nudges their season record down to 13-9. As for Lapel, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season.

Frankton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lapel, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 19-0 victory against Taylor on the 27th.
