Football Game Preview: Bishop Foley Ventures vs. University Liggett Knights + How To Watch

Bishop Foley is on a six-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and University Liggett a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. The Bishop Foley Ventures will host the University Liggett Knights at 7:00 p.m. Bishop Foley will be strutting in after a victory while University Liggett will be coming in after a defeat.

Bishop Foley is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. Their defense stepped up to hand Cardinal Mooney Catholic a 22-0 shutout on Saturday. The Ventures not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since August 29, 2024 (when they won 44-22).

Robert Gjonaj had a dynamite game, rushing for 201 yards and one touchdown on only 15 carries. His longest rush was for an incredible 80 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Thompson, who threw for 115 yards and a pair of TDs.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Bishop Foley was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 201 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, University Liggett came up short against Loyola on Friday and fell 14-7.

Bishop Foley's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for University Liggett, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-7.
