After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lowndes, Mt. Zion was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Riverdale Raiders 28-0. The Bulldogs pushed the score to 25-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Raiders had little chance of recovering from.

Mt. Zion's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Riverdale, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 1-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Mt. Zion is set to take on their familiar foe Stephenson at 7:30 p.m. on September 12. Meanwhile, Riverdale will challenge rival North Clayton at 7:30 p.m. on September 5.
