Soccer Game Preview: Fishburne Military vs. Appalachian Christian School

The Fishburne Military Caissons will head out on the road to challenge the Appalachian Christian School Trailblazers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Fishburne Military's offense. They lost 6-0 to Eastern Mennonite on Tuesday. Fishburne Military have struggled against Eastern Mennonite recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Appalachian Christian School kept a clean sheet against Fresta Valley Christian on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Pioneers 1-0.

Appalachian Christian School's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Fishburne Military, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.

Everything went Fishburne Military's way against Appalachian Christian School in their previous matchup back in September, as Fishburne Military made off with a 9-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Caissons since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
