Soccer Game Preview: North Eugene vs. Thurston + How To Watch

The North Eugene Highlanders will head out to take on the Thurston Colts at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Thurston took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on North Eugene, who comes in off a win.

North Eugene is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They came out on top against Crater by a score of 2-0 on Saturday. The win was some much needed relief for North Eugene as it spelled an end to their four-match losing streak.

Meanwhile, after soaring to eight goals the game before, Thurston was a bit more limited in their matchup on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ashland. While losing is never fun, Thurston can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon soccer rankings (they are ranked 129th, while Ashland are ranked 12th).

Thurston's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for North Eugene, their victory bumped their record up to 2-6-1.

North Eugene was able to grind out a solid win over Thurston when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Highlanders since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
