Softball Recap: King Takes a Loss

King lost against Jefferson back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The King Lions lost 12-2 to the Jefferson Dragons. The Lions' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

King saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madeline Millican, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

King's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Jefferson, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

King will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Armwood at 7:00 p.m. on March 25th. Armwood is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season. Jefferson will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Riverview at 7:00 p.m. on March 25th.
