Walter Panas had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Albertus Magnus Falcons on Wednesday. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Vinny Lugo tossed a big game, tossing 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits.

At the plate, Gianni Generoso was excellent, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Nick DiMaso, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one triple and one run.

Walter Panas was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .381. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .348 or higher in three consecutive games.

Walter Panas' win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Albertus Magnus, they moved to 13-8 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.
