Football Recap: Covenant Christian Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Covenant Christian was riding high fresh off their 40-14 takedown of St. Francis Episcopal last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cougars lost 47-21 to the Bay Area Christian Broncos on Friday. The Cougars lost against the Broncos in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 65-8 score last time.

Preston VanHouse threw for 88 yards and one TD. Matthew Zepeda was his top target, picking up 60 receiving yards and one score. On the ground, Joshua DeRamus rushed for 110 yards and one touchdown.

Leading Bay Area Christian to victory were Kaleab Skeeter and Andrew Cresswell. Skeeter gained 207 total yards, while Cresswell threw for 186 yards and three TDs on only ten passes.

Covenant Christian now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Bay Area Christian, the win (which was their fourth in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 3-0.

Covenant Christian wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 34-14 victory against Frassati Catholic on the 19th. As for Bay Area Christian, they have also already played their next match, a 51-6 loss against Brazos Christian on the 19th.
