Grayson Christian is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Trinity Christian Academy on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Grayson Christian was dealt an 80-52 defeat at the hands of Trinity Christian Academy. Grayson Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-25.

Meanwhile, Mercy Prep Academy beat Waco Christian 60-48 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Royals.

Mercy Prep Academy is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.6 points per game. As for Grayson Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.

Grayson Christian couldn't quite finish off Mercy Prep Academy in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 and fell 45-43. Can Grayson Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
