Recap: Franklin Regional Panthers vs. Peters Township Indians
The Franklin Regional Panthers fell victim to the Peters Township Indians''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They took a serious blow against the Indians, falling 35-0. While losing is never fun, Franklin Regional can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 98th, while Peters Township is ranked third).
Even if they lost, Franklin Regional's defensive line still kept up the pressure with six sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Austin Kerns and Juliano Marion who racked up 4.5 sacks between them.
Franklin Regional are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-5. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 9.3 points per game. As for Peters Township, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.
Franklin Regional does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Peters Township will take on Moon Area at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Moon Area knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matches -- so hopefully Peters Township likes a good challenge.
