Recap: Alief Elsik Rams vs. Anderson Trojans
The Alief Elsik Rams had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They secured a 47-42 W over Anderson on Thursday. The win was just what Alief Elsik needed coming off of a 77-52 loss in their prior contest.
Alief Elsik had a senior duo take command as Ricky Wilson scored 17 points along with 8 rebounds and 5 assists and David Uwalaka dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. The match was Wilson's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tim Ofesi, who scored 6 points along with 13 rebounds.
Alief Elsik's win bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Anderson, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alief Elsik will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Pasadena Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on December 11th. As for Anderson, they will head out on the road to face off against Johnson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
