Basketball Recap: Corbin Takes a Loss

Corbin lost against North Laurel back in March of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Corbin Redhounds took a 67-50 bruising from the North Laurel Jaguars. While losing is never fun, the Redhounds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 48th, while the Jaguars are ranked third).

Corbin's defeat dropped their record down to 16-8. As for North Laurel, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 23-2.

Coming up, Corbin will face off against Harlan at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Laurel, they will host Ryle at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday. North Laurel is facing Ryle at the right time seeing as Ryle is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
