Kylie Smith commands the offense for Chargers win

Recap: Rockwell Christian School Chargers vs. Southview Christian Conquerors

The Rockwell Christian School Chargers waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They had just enough and edged Southview Christian out 35-32. The victory was all the more spectacular given Rockwell Christian School's disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 430th, while Southview Christian is ranked 211th).

Rockwell Christian School's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kylie Smith, who scored 12 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which Smith has scored at least a third of Rockwell Christian School's points. Another player making a difference was Cambrie Perry, who scored ten points.

Rockwell Christian School now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Southview Christian, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rockwell Christian School will face off against Tabernacle Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southview Christian, they will head out on the road to square off against Surry HomeSchool at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
