Soccer Recap: Somerset Takes a Loss

Somerset lost against Uvalde back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Somerset Bulldogs fell 3-1 to the Uvalde Coyotes/Lobos (for girls). The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Somerset's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Uvalde, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 12-6-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Somerset will challenge Pleasanton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Pleasanton knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Somerset likes a good challenge. As for Uvalde, they will head out on the road to square off against Floresville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Floresville has won five straight at home, while Uvalde won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
