Softball Recap: Wethersfield Comes Up Short

After flying high against Platt on Monday, Wethersfield came back down to earth. The Eagles came up short against the Bacon Academy Bobcats on Tuesday, falling 8-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Eagles have suffered since April 14, 2025.

Wethersfield dropped their record down to 2-5 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Bacon Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

Wethersfield didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-2 defeat against Rocky Hill on the 20th. As for Bacon Academy, they have also already played their next game, a 19-0 win against Windham RVT on the 22nd.
