Basketball Recap: St. Paul Academy-Summit Comes Up Short

St. Paul Academy-Summit lost against St. Croix Lutheran back in December of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The St. Paul Academy-Summit Spartans were outmatched by the St. Croix Lutheran Crusaders and fell 84-56. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 258th, while the Crusaders are ranked 83rd).

St. Paul Academy-Summit has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-15 record this season. The victory was the 12th in a row for St. Croix Lutheran, bringing their record for this year to 17-3.

St. Paul Academy-Summit does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Croix Lutheran, they will face off against Humboldt at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Humboldt's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 18 matchups.
