Three Forks proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by 21) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Jefferson Panthers, sneaking past 73-70. The win was just business as usual for the Wolves, who after three games remain undefeated this season.

Jefferson lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Wyatt Geier, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 16 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Frydenlund, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 boards.

Three Forks' victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Jefferson, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Three Forks and Ennis will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Three Forks knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Ennis likes a good challenge. As for Jefferson, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Jefferson Panthers challenge the Manhattan Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
