Basketball Game Preview: Pocatello Thunder vs. Rigby Trojans

The Pocatello Thunder will head out to square off against the Rigby Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Thursday, Pocatello came up short against Preston and fell 45-33. The contest marked the Thunder's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Rigby ended up a good deal behind Thunder Ridge on Thursday and lost 61-44. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Titans recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Rigby's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Pocatello, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-6.

Pocatello barely slipped by Rigby when the teams last played back in December of 2024, winning 60-59. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pocatello since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
