Softball Recap: Midwest Central/Illini Central Takes a Loss

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Midwest Central/Illini Central was a bit more limited in their game on Monday. They came up short against the Knoxville Blue Bullets, falling 11-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Raiders of the 5-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2023.

Midwest Central/Illini Central saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Friedrich, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double. That double was Friedrich's first of the season.

Midwest Central/Illini Central's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Knoxville, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 12-5.

Midwest Central/Illini Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Knoxville, they will square off against Monmouth United at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Red Storm have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.15 runs per game on average), something the Blue Bullets will no doubt try to take advantage of.
