Clay had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They put the hurt on the Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington Blue Jays with a sharp 6-3 win. Billy Miller was a massive factor in the win as he booted in four goals all by himself.

This is the second loss in a row for Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington and nudges their season record down to 0-2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clay will square off against Eastern at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington, they will head out to square off against Lynchburg-Clay at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
