Softball Game Preview: Union Yellowjackets vs. Walnut Wildcats

For the second straight game, Union will face off against Walnut. The Yellowjackets will head out to take on the Wildcats at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Union will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Union is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over Walnut. The Yellowjackets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six runs or more this season.

LaCee Bishop was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Journee Donald also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Union kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive matchups.
