Softball Recap: Chapel Hill Takes a Loss

Chapel Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 11-10 heartbreaker at the hands of the Northern Durham Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-5 on April 8th.

Abby Klemm was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, two stolen bases, and one triple. Jillian Evans also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Chapel Hill's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Northern Durham, their win bumped their record up to 5-13.

Chapel Hill didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 15-1 victory against Hillside on the 29th. As for Northern Durham, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 16-7 defeat against Jordan on the 29th.
