Basketball Game Preview: Fort Lupton Bluedevils vs. Eaton Reds

The Fort Lupton Bluedevils will head out on the road to face off against the Eaton Reds at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fort Lupton has given up an average of 65 points per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Saturday, Fort Lupton lost to Aspen at home by a 58-39 margin.

Meanwhile, Eaton waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 61-56 W against the Panthers.

Eaton's win came from a few key players Fort Lupton will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Crew Haythorn, who posted 29 points. Those 29 points gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ely Madaleno, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine assists.

Eaton's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Fort Lupton, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-2.

Fort Lupton was taken down by Eaton 71-42 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can the Bluedevils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
