Soccer Game Preview: American Leadership Academy vs. Horse Creek Academy

The American Leadership Academy Patriots will head out to take on the Horse Creek Academy Stallions at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. American Leadership Academy's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

On Tuesday, American Leadership Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Batesburg-Leesville and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Horse Creek Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Alleluia Community by a score of 2-1. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Horse Creek Academy came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 144th in South Carolina, while Alleluia Community are ranked 312th in Georgia).

Horse Creek Academy suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 4-4. As for American Leadership Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 4-4.
