Recap: Parker Thundering Herd vs. Woodlawn Colonels

The Parker Thundering Herd have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 24 points or more this season. They blew past Woodlawn 57-30 at home. Given Parker's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 49th, while Woodlawn is ranked 200th), the result on Wednesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Parker's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Teralyn Hill, who scored 19 points. The game was Hill's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Takiyah Binder, who scored 14 points.

Parker's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-5. As for Woodlawn, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Parker will play host again and welcome Gadsden City, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Gadsden City focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Tuesday. Woodlawn will be home for the holidays to greet Jackson-Olin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
