Football Recap: Dynamic Duo of Taylor Jones and Serenity Muhammad Lead Newark Central to Victory

The Newark Central Blue Devils beat the Wayne Valley Indians 19-12 on Tuesday.

A big part of Newark Central's victory came down to the chemistry between Taylor Jones and her top target Serenity Muhammad. Jones threw for 237 yards and two TDs on only 19 passes while Muhammad picked up 221 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Muhammad also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack, making six total tackles, and defending two passes in addition to snagging an interception.

The win got Newark Central back to even at 1-1. As for Wayne Valley, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.
