Basketball Game Preview: Texico Wolverines vs. Mescalero Apache Chiefs

The Texico Wolverines will square off against the Mescalero Apache Chiefs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Texico has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with three straight losses, while Mescalero Apache will come in with three straight wins.

Texico had taken Eunice down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. Texico took a 47-33 bruising from Eunice.

The home team had come away the winner the last six times Mescalero Apache and Mesilla Valley Christian School had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. Mescalero Apache came out on top against Mesilla Valley Christian School by a score of 53-41 on Friday.

Texico's defeat dropped their record down to 17-10. As for Mescalero Apache, their victory bumped their record up to 18-10.

Everything came up roses for Texico against Mescalero Apache in their previous meeting back in January, as the squad secured a 61-33 win. Will Texico repeat their success, or does Mescalero Apache have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
