Baseball Recap: Macarthur Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

MacArthur and Boerne-Champion squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but MacArthur had to settle for second. They came up short against the Chargers, falling 6-0. Considering the last time the Brahmas couldn't score was back in February, the team can't take the result too hard.

Wyatt Stevens spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and five unearned) runs on seven hits.

MacArthur's defeat dropped their record down to 20-8. As for Boerne-Champion, they pushed their record up to 26-8 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road.

While MacArthur had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
