Basketball Game Preview: Durango Trailblazers vs. Bishop Gorman Gaels

Durango hasn't had much luck against Bishop Gorman recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Durango Trailblazers will welcome the Bishop Gorman Gaels at 6:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Monday, Durango came up short against Valley and fell 72-61. The Trailblazers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bishop Gorman). They blew past Arbor View 92-70 on Monday. The Gaels have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 20 points or more this season.

Durango's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Bishop Gorman, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which somehow still isn't as good as their 14-4 record this season.

Durango took a serious blow against Bishop Gorman when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 74-40. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Durango was down 43-22.
