Softball Recap: Williamston Comes Up Short

Williamston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Jenison Wildcats. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Hornets have suffered since April 11th.

Julia Belloli was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Williamston's loss dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Jenison, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-3.

Williamston didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 12-11 defeat against Rockford on the 10th. As for Jenison, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 1-0 loss against Lowell on the 10th.
