Baseball Game Preview: Lennard Longhorns vs. Riverview Sharks

The Lennard Longhorns are taking a road trip to take on the Riverview Sharks at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Riverview took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Lennard, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, Lennard narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Plant City 4-3. The Longhorns haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Lennard got a great performance from Jv Brennick as he pitched 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits.

On the hitting side, Lennard's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Aj Aikens, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Another was R.J. Torres, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Riverview was a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They came up short against Bloomingdale, falling 6-0. The Sharks' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Riverview's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Lennard, their win bumped their record up to 6-10.

Everything went Lennard's way against Riverview in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as Lennard made off with an 11-1 victory. Does Lennard have another victory up their sleeve, or will Riverview turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
