Baseball Recap: Lapwai Takes a Loss

Lapwai lost to Potlatch back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wildcats came up short against the Loggers, falling 13-3. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Malik Williams made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Thamius Sherman, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Lapwai's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Potlatch, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-2 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Potlatch beat Lapwai by a score of 18-0 later that day.
