Softball Recap: West Henderson Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

West Henderson barely beat Tuscola the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Falcons never let the Mountaineers get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Tuesday. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by ten runs or more this season.

Kayden Lyda was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Makena Henderson was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI.

West Henderson was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .476. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in four consecutive games.

West Henderson pushed their record up to 10-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Tuscola, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season.

West Henderson didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 14-3 win against Erwin on the 2nd. As for Tuscola, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 17-0 loss against Enka on the 3rd.
