Basketball Recap: Druid Hills Comes Up Short

On Friday, the Druid Hills Red Devils had to suffer through a 86-29 loss at the hands of the St. Pius X Catholic Golden Lions. While losing is never fun, the Red Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 479th, while the Golden Lions are ranked 116th).

This is the second loss in a row for Druid Hills and nudges their season record down to 2-8. As for St. Pius X Catholic, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-3.

Druid Hills will take on Lakeside in a tournament on Friday. Druid Hills is facing Lakeside at the right time seeing as Lakeside is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for St. Pius X Catholic, they and Blessed Trinity will face off at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. One thing working in St. Pius X Catholic's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups.
