It was a good run, but El Capitan unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Kimball Jaguars by a score of 12-11. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (ten), the Gauchos still had to take the loss.

Angel Rivera was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-5. Jesse Saucedo was another key player, scoring four runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

El Capitan's defeat dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Kimball, they moved to 7-14 with that win, which also ended their nine-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, El Capitan will host Turlock at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Kimball, they will venture away from home to challenge West at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Jaguars are facing the Wolfpack at the right time seeing as the Wolfpack are stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
