Softball Recap: Jefferson Blue Jays vs. North County Raiders

Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They came up short against the North County Raiders, falling 12-5. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blue Jays of the 16-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September.

Cecelia Ott and Annabelle Richardson did some serious damage despite the final result: Ott went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and a triple, while Richardson got on base in three of her four plate appearances with a home run. Another player making a difference was Chloe Burger, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Even though they lost, Jefferson kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in September of 2023.

Jefferson's record is now 9-16. As for North County, they now have a winning record of 13-12.

It'll be Battle of the Birds when Blue Jays takes on Kelly at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. North County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
