Volleyball Recap: Sky View Starts Season with Win Against Morgan

Sky View gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They won by a set and slipped past the Morgan Trojans 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bobcats have posted against the Trojans since October 8, 2016.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Sky View got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 13-25, 25-19, 6-25, 18-16.

Sky View found their leader in sophomore Brynn Spackman, who had 12 digs and two assists.

Sky View was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Morgan's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Sky View will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Box Elder at 6:30 p.m. As for Morgan, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Weber on the 7th.
