Newtown has gone a perfect 8-0 against Bunnell recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Nighthawks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Newtown's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Bunnell's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Newtown came out on top against Stratford on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run third inning. The Nighthawks were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over the Red Devils. The win continues a trend for the Nighthawks in their matchups with the Red Devils: they've now won eight in a row.

Masuk hit Bunnell with a five-run sixth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bulldogs came up short against the Panthers, falling 10-2. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost nine in a row.

Kira Bryant was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Sydney Sedlock, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Newtown's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-4-1. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of four runs across that stretch. As for Bunnell, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-7.
