Softball Recap: Mandarin Wins Going Away Against Christ's Church Academy

After only one run in their last game, Mandarin made sure to put some runs up on the board against Christ's Church Academy on Thursday. Mandarin put the hurt on Christ's Church Academy with a sharp 18-3 victory. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by six runs or more this season.

Ryleigh Booth and MaKayla Oxley did most of the damage at the plate: Booth went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one double, while Oxley scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. That's the most runs Booth has posted since back in February. Alanna DeJesus was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.

Mandarin hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

The win got Mandarin back to even at 7-7. As for Christ's Church Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mandarin will challenge Clay at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Christ's Church Academy, they will take on Cornerstone Classical Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
