Volleyball Recap: Valley Regional Warriors vs. Coventry Patriots
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Valley Regional had no problem doing just that on Friday. They came out on top against the Coventry Patriots by a score of 3-1. The victory was familiar territory for the Warriors who have now won seven games in a row.
While Valley Regional might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Coventry scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-18, 20-25, 25-22.
Despite the loss, Coventry still got an impressive performance from Charlotte Wesoloskie, who had 45 digs. Wesoloskie has been hot , having posted 11 or more digs the last six times she's played.
Valley Regional's win bumped their record up to 24-2. As for Coventry, they moved to 20-6 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
