The Thatcher Eagles will head out to take on the Show Low Cougars at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Thatcher is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Ganado as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. The final score came out to 25-20, 28-26, 27-25.

Meanwhile, Show Low got the win against Thatcher last Monday by a conclusive 3-0.

The 3-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-23, 25-23.

Show Low's win bumped their record up to 34-10. As for Thatcher, they now have a winning record of 16-15.

Thatcher suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Show Low in their previous meeting last Monday. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
