Football Recap: Moapa Valley Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Moapa Valley and Churchill County squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Moapa Valley had to settle for second. They fell 21-14 to the Greenwave. The matchup was a 14-14 toss-up at halftime, but the Pirates couldn't quite close it out.

Despite the loss, Moapa Valley still got an impressive performance from Briggs Hickman, who rushed for 132 yards, and also caught one TD. Hickman's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 101 rushing yards. Moapa Valley also got help from Ryker Katich, who showed off his sure hands for 104 receiving yards.

Moapa Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Churchill County, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-1.

As of now, neither Moapa Valley nor the Greenwave have any future games scheduled.
