Basketball Recap: Jourdanton Comes Up Short

Jourdanton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 53-43 to the Hondo Owls. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians/Squaws this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 67-61 back in January.

Jourdanton's defeat dropped their record down to 15-13. As for Hondo, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-18 record this season.

Looking ahead, Jourdanton is taking a road trip to square off against Crystal City at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Crystal City's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 13 matchups. As for Hondo, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Dilley at 7:15 p.m. Hondo is facing Dilley at the right time seeing as Dilley is stuck on a 22-game losing streak.
