Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Loomis

Loomis entered their tilt with Bertrand on Monday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 46-41 W against the Bertrand Vikings. This was a revenge game for the Wolves: when they faced off against the Vikings back in December of 2024, they had to take a 45-34 defeat.

Loomis' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Zeigh Booe led the charge by going 5-for-11 en route to 17 points. The dominant performance gave Booe a new career-high in points. Camry Anderson also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Loomis was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. They are 5-2 when they've passed the ball that well.

Bertrand lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Brooklyn Evans, who posted 14 points along with five rebounds and four steals. That was a full 34.1% of Bertrand's points, marking the third time in a row Evans has scored more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Shelby Schoene, who put up ten points and five boards.

Loomis' victory bumped their record up to 6-17. As for Bertrand, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-15.

Loomis wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 51-16 loss against Wilcox-Hildreth on the 18th. Bertrand does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
