Softball Game Preview: Galva Wildcats vs. Biggsville West Central Heat

Galva hasn't had much luck against Biggsville West Central recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Wildcats will be playing at home against the Heat at 4:30 p.m. Galva has given up an average of 8.9 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Galva is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They lost 22-0 to Biggsville West Central.

For Biggsville West Central's part, Addie Seitz made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. Seitz has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lily Higgins, who fired off two home runs, six RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-3. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Delaney Endress, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and five RBI.
