Volleyball Recap: Belleview Christian Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Tara Polson and Harjas Thiara + How To Watch

Belleview Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Vanguard Classical East Hawks. While the Bruins didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Hawks 25-15 in the first set.

Belleview Christian actually scored more points across those five sets (98-97), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 15-25, 16-25, 26-24, 25-12, 15-12.

Harjas Thiara and Tara Polson certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Thiara hit 66.7% for six kills and 33 digs and ten assists, while Polson had 23 digs, eight kills, and one block.

Belleview Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Vanguard Classical East, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Belleview Christian will take on Rocky Mountain Lutheran at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Vanguard Classical East, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Kent Denver at 11:00 a.m. on September 6.
